About Aquila Engineering
Aquila Engineering was initially established as the Pilatus
Australian Design Office providing engineering and logistics support to
the RAAF in support of their PC-9/A aircraft operations throughout
Australia. Our role with Pilatus Aircraft has broadened over time,
where we are tasked with developing minor and major Modification Orders
for other Pilatus customers, such as the South African Air Force, Royal
Saudi Air Force and Slovenian Air Force. We also undertake technical
writing and drawing activities on behalf of Pilatus, such as
significant review and update of repair manuals, including the
provision of supporting drawings.
We currently have a workforce of seventeen personnel between our two
primary Australian locations, including a full time on-site liaison
position at Pilatus Aircraft Ltd, Switzerland. Our personnel also
provide professional services across a range of disciplines to Defence
through DMO Support Services Panel arrangements. Aquila Engineering is
an AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 accredited organisation. We are experienced
practitioners in CASA, EASA, FAA standards. As the Pilatus Australian
Design Office, we are also required to deliver our services in
accordance with the ADF Authorised Engineering Organisation standards.
